COW POTATO

COW POTATO

When your couch transforms into a cow and your carpet becomes a 3D puzzle or a totem pole, a playful and imaginative experience is created. This project presents the possibility of playing with vibrantly colorful three-dimensional textile objects. The objects are made of felted foam and serve as functional furniture, but they are not rigid. The project offers a new language of furniture design from the perspective of a textile designer who explores material and breaks boundaries between furniture, sculpture, and play.

CITY GIRL

CITY GIRL

As a child growing up in Tel Aviv, I always wondered who my neighbors were. Years after, when I experienced community life in a kibbutz, I understood that there is another way of living.

Technique: Manual Knitting Machine

People that live in apartments, share a building.
They share the sewage, They walk the same morning trail
And yet, they are strangers
not asking, not looking, not knowing.

ARS KNITTING

ARS KNITTING

An ars poetica poem examines the role of poets themselves as subjects, their relationships to the poem, and the act

of writing.

In this project the artist described a part of herself with textile. She knitted on her manual knitting machine while listening to a song that she wrote and recorded. That song served as her design reference and inspiration.

ABOUT ME

MY AYA GRANDMA

MY AYA GRANDMA

Aya disappears
But her eyes always remain the same
Sometimes she forgets
Sometimes she doesn't recognize
But she is always dressed in her full glory
When I was a little girl
Her wardrobe was the most luxurious playground
and still is

Hello my name is Tal and I’m a textile designer. Passionate about exploring new creative horizons.
fc257623-6539-4390-b4d6-4172f8067653.jpg

I recently completed my B.A. in Textile Design, which has laid a solid foundation for my artistic and technical skills. In 2023, I had the exciting opportunity to intern with Mattel's Barbie Soft Goods Design Team. This role allowed me to infuse my designs with playful creativity while gaining invaluable experience with a leading global brand.

Before diving into the world of textiles, I earned a B.A. in Psychology from Tel Hai College (2015-2019). This background has provided me with unique insights into human behavior, enriching my design work with a deeper emotional and psychological dimension. With a blend of creativity, industry experience, and psychological insight, I strive to create textiles that are not only visually striking but also deeply meaningful.
